The Textiles Studio Makerspace is where staff and students of the School of Humanities, Creative Industries & Social Sciences (HCISS) can work on projects, collaborate, share ideas, and problem-solve. This particular studio has a fabrics and textiles focus.

Usage & Access Hours
Access to the Textiles Studio Makerspace requires successfully completing:
- The Level 1 General Induction
- The Level 2 City Makerspaces Induction

Your Course > Modules > Compulsory WHS Inductions
Certain equipment requires additional specialist inductions.
Usage of the Makerspace is currently limited to students and staff of the School of Humanities, Creative Industries, Creative Industries & Social Sciences (HCISS).

The City Makerspaces have three tiers of equipment. The equipment found in the Textiles Studio Makerspace in University House includes:
Green – General Induction
This equipment is available for use straight after the L1 City Makerspaces induction

- Silk Screen Printing
Orange – Specialist Inductions
This equipment requires a specialist individual or small group induction by the Technical Staff
